Safrinha do milho debaixo d'água? O impacto das chuvas de junho no ritmo do mercado.
The first half of June in the corn market was marked by a cautious and observant scenario, with heavy rains in Minas Gerais and the South of the country dictating a slower pace for the harvest. Although the excess moisture brings a temporary upward bias due to operational delays, the physical market remains stagnant, while consumers await the total volume of the second crop and producers try to maintain prices. Independent investment agent João Santaella Neto comments that this domestic tug-of-war is becoming more complex with international volatility, where the drop in prices in Chicago, coupled with new USDA data, challenges export parity even with a strong dollar.
