Hi everyone! thank you so much for tuning in to my Senior Recital! its a pleasure to have you! For this recital, I put together all kinds of music from all over the musical Cannon, and i brought some special guests to help dazzle all of you! Offenbach was a German-born French composer and is remembered for his countless operettas and unfinished opera The Tales of Hoffmann, from which this piece belongs. Belle Nuit, Ô Nuit d’Amour, or more commonly the Barcorolle, opens the opera’s Giulietta act, set in Venice. In this seemingly happy moment, we find Nicholasse falling in love with the Courtesan Giulietta, who plays along to fulfill her own motives of riches by stealing Nicholasse’s heart.
