Support the channel: https://patronite.pl/FundacjaEureka ====================================== Prof. Mariusz P. Dąbrowski is the president of the Eureka Foundation named after Prof. J. Stelmach and, above all, a physicist and cosmologist – the author of over 100 publications in scientific journals, cited over 2,400 times, and with a Hirsch index of h=26. Since 2022, he has been listed annually by Stanford University and Elsevier as the world's most influential scientists (the so-called top 2% of scientists). As part of his scientific work, Prof. Dąbrowski has been working on the subject of dark energy since the 1980s – first in the form of vacuum energy in the form of the cosmological constant and the so-called Topological defects" and later in the form of so-called phantom matter. He also proposed several other solutions to the dark energy problem (inhomogeneities in the Universe, variability of fundamental constants in physics (such as the gravitational constant), exotic singularities, etc.). Currently, he is involved in, among other things, testing cosmological models in which the source of dark energy is the energy of the Universe's horizons, i.e., surfaces onto which the volumetric properties of the Universe are mapped (so-called holographic dark energy). Szczecin Cosmology Group: https://cosmo.usz.edu.pl Chapters: 0:00 - 3:15 Introduction 3:16 - 1:08:22 Lecture by Prof. Mariusz P. Dąbrowski In Following on from the previously held session N2 on the dark universe, the aim of this session will be to present numerous theoretical proposals attempting to solve the problem of the existence of unknown forms of matter. These theories are mainly related to extensions of Albert Einstein's theory of gravity, on which modern cosmology is based. Among them are theories with scalar, vector, and tensor fields, with more complicated forms of gravitational interactions, theories unifying interactions in physics, with additional spatial dimensions, etc. However, these theories can only "threaten" Einstein's theory if they are confirmed by observational data and their better agreement than Einstein's theory. These issues will be presented during the session by lecturers and workshop participants, who will be Prof. Salvatore Capozziello from the University of Naples in Italy, Prof. Emannuel Saridakis from the University of Athens in Greece, Dr. hab. Aneta Wojnar from the University of Wrocław, Prof. Adam Balcerzak, Prof. Vincenzo Salzano, and Prof. Tomasz Denkiewicz from the University of Szczecin. Series of sessions entitled "Scientific and Technological Progress Closer to Society." Funded by the "Social Responsibility of Science II" program of the Minister of Science and Higher Education (POPUL/SN/0329/2024/02). #science #space #physics
