#bmwmotorrad #R1100S #motovlog #AwajiIsland I rode my BMW R1100S on a solo touring trip around Awaji Island in Hyogo, Japan, searching for local onion cuisine, coastal scenery, and mythological sites connected to the birth of Japan. I left early in the morning, took the Hanshin Expressway, crossed the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, and arrived on Awaji Island right around sunrise. From there, I spent the day riding a relaxed full loop around the island. In this video, the ride starts along the coast of Minami Awaji City. I visit Michi-no-Eki Uzushio to try one of the highlights of the trip—an Awaji Island burger—then stop by places connected to Japanese mythology, including Ashihara-no-Kuni, Ame-no-Ukihashi, Onokoro Island Shrine, and Izanagi Shrine. Rather than simply introducing each spot, I took a little more time filming the roads, scenery, and atmosphere so you can feel like you are touring through Awaji Island with me.
