Schleuse Kriegenbrunn: Start der Bohrungen

Here it is: large, imposing, and brand new: We're talking about Germany's largest drilling rig, weighing 200 tons and standing 36.3 meters tall. This magnificent machine will be used nowhere else but in Erlangen. More precisely: at the construction site of the new Kriegenbrunn lock, for an important task. It is one of 16 locks that will allow ships to overcome a 243-meter difference in elevation on the waterway.
