Three years ago, we filmed the Babel farm during the hay harvest. Since our first visit, a lot has changed: there are new mowing and raking machines, and a new hay barn with a drying system has been built on the farm. Reason enough for an update. In the first part, we accompany Herbert Babel as he mows with the new Carraro TRX and the 8.5-meter double-knife mower from BB Umwelttechnik. We also take a look at the raking process. Here, too, upgrades have been made. The double rotary rake has been extended with a three-meter-wide implement at the rear for increased efficiency. In the second part, we show you how the hay is brought in and finished drying with the Arwego hay drying system. We also observe the feeding of the 70 dairy cows. ...
