Day 37: 🌧️ Mud, rain, and tough miles on Alaska’s Lost Lake Trail! 🥾🇺🇸

🌧️ Day 37 | Lost Lake Trail (Primrose Trail) Hike | Mud, Rain & Tough Alaska Hiking Conditions! 🥾🇺🇸 Our Alaska adventure continued with an attempt to hike the Primrose Trail, better known as the Lost Lake Trail, near Seward, Alaska. We knew rain was in the forecast, but we didn’t expect just how challenging the trail would become. Constant rain turned the trail into a muddy, slippery mess, making every step an adventure. We heard about a hidden side trail leading to a beautiful waterfall. Unfortunately, despite searching, we couldn’t find the turnoff. After battling the wet conditions for 2.4 miles, we decided to head back, finishing the day with a 4.8-mile round-trip hike completely soaked and covered in mud. Not every hiking day goes as planned, and that’s part of the adventure. We share the real experience of hiking Alaska—the incredible scenery, unpredictable weather, and the challenges that make every trail memorable. With our time in Seward coming to an end, we’re spending the evening drying gear, doing laundry, packing up our SylvanSport GO, and getting everything ready for tomorrow’s drive to Valdez, Alaska, where the next chapter of our road trip begins.
