At the heart of the affair are approximately €1.2 million in public funding. This funding was approved for the work of the association "Integrationsarbeit Kronsberg" (Integration Work Kronsberg). However, at the association's headquarters, locked doors, abandoned rooms, and barely visible signs of the promised projects have been implemented. Funding authorities are now demanding the return of nearly €1.14 million. Investigators are examining suspected subsidy fraud, embezzlement, and breach of trust. Large payments to former SPD city council member Hülya Iri and her daughter are also a central focus of the investigation. Our investigation leads us to a woman who, according to her own account, informed leading SPD officials about potential irregularities as early as 2024. There was no discernible response. Later, the windows of her house were smashed and her car severely damaged. Surveillance footage we reviewed shows Hülya Iri and her husband arriving at the woman's property.
