Exeter Red Cow Level Crossing, Devon

Exeter Red Cow Level Crossing, Exeter, Devon on the Bristol to Exeter Line and the Tarka Line. Location: Station Road, Exeter St Davids Date Filmed: 26-07-2025 - Nearest Station: Exeter St Davids - Trains: Class 150 (Great Western Railway) Class 158 (Great Western Railway) Class 220 (CrossCountry) - Featuring: ‪@ElectraLevelCrossings‬ ‪@RH_TransportPhotography‬ ‪@SouthEastLevelCrossings‬ ‪@UKLCSandT‬ Also known as Red Cow Level Crossing. Controlled from Exeter Power Signal Box (Exeter PSB). Unique crossing spanning a total of six tracks, situated directly next to Exeter St Davids station. This is the only crossing in the UK that allows pedestrians to cross over whilst the barriers are lowered, as long as a crossing attendant is on duty and present once the barriers have lowered. A bell rings shortly after the barriers lower which signifies which direction a train is coming from and which platform at Exeter St Davids it will use. The crossing attendant will allow pedestrians to cross if there's sufficient time before a train passes. Whilst it may seem odd and look like there's plenty of crossing misuse, this is in-fact normal at this crossing. Thanks For Watching!
