The location of this level crossing is very peaceful and pleasant, with most of the level crossing (bar the LED wigwags and one alarm sounder) remaining un-changed for many years. There are two Mk1 twin-arm half barriers at this level crossing, as well as an original stop when lights show sign on one side reading "Automatic barriers, stop when lights show" which is a now rare sight at an active level crossing on a main line. Both alarms here are quiet, though they needn't be any louder. When stood on one side of the level crossing, the relays for the level crossing can be heard clicking as the amber lights come on. This video features a total of four different lowerings which happened within the space of around 20 minutes, with the level crossing shown both close-up and in full view on each side. The ambience and tranquillity of the surrounding area is present both before and after each individual lowering. Thanks for watching!
