Finding Unique Experiences In Cambodia’s Hidden Gems | Battambang

We take you through the most action-filled 24 hours in Battambang, Cambodia. Battambang (Krong Battambang) is Cambodia’s second largest city, however it is not as popular among tourists, which perhaps lends it a sense of authenticity that you won’t find in many other Cambodian cities. We head into Battambang on top of the famous Battambang bamboo train, getting plenty of glimpse at the surrounding Cambodian village life. After reaching Battambang town (Krong Battambang), we visit the Bana Temple on top of a beautiful hill. We then explore the arts scene in Battambang town and uncover why it is still Cambodia’s art and culture capital, and also why it is called Cambodia’s rice bowl. We also taste some delicious a Khmer dish: the Cambodian bamboo sticky cakes (Kalan). In the afternoon we pay a visit to the Killing Caves and finish our evening at the Bat Cave, where we watch over a million bats head out to find food at night. What an amazing sight it is!
