How to repair Royalex Cold Cracks, Priming and Painting, Mad River Eclipse, Part 2
In Part 2 of the Mad River Eclipse Canoe Restoration the cold cracks are prepared for the application of West Systems G/Flex resin repair, the hull is sanded, final decals removed, hull cleaned with Acetone and then the Rustoleum Primer and Topcoat are applied. Part 3 will get into the final woodworking stages including the fabrication of the gunwales, canoe decks, carrying yoke, carrying handles and seat restoration using webbing material vice the pressed in cane.
