We are in Piedmont, in the province of Verbano Cusio Ossola. Mottarone is a very touristy and popular mountain, but the side that falls on Cusio is certainly not. Starting from Omegna, a town on the northern shores of Lake Orta, we reach Omo, a particular rock formation, and then the summit, tackling a path partly equipped with chains, among imposing granites of the strangest shapes. A wild and solitary environment, which offers incredible panoramic views.
