BÄTTELMATTHORN - VAL FORMAZZA - Punta dei Camosci da Riale

FIRST TIME IN VAL FORMAZZA FOR US!! On the border between Italy and Switzerland... we reached the Bättelmatthorn!!! We set off from Lake Morasco, our first destination being Alpe Bettelmatt. After crossing the plain, the climb to the Bivacco del Gries offered spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. From there, the landscape changes completely: rock, silence, lakes, glaciers, and high mountains. The steep final ridge tested us, but every step brought us closer to a summit we'd long awaited. Reaching the summit was something special. A vast panorama lay before us, the kind that photographs can't capture and words struggle to describe.
