Clearing bracken

I am not sure if the bracken is spreading, or if I have 'woken it up' by clearing other plants, but it is coming up all over my land. Back in April I started seeing shoots appearing in places where there was no bracken before, and as I know how invasive it can be, I started pulling the shoots to reduce its growth. I have been out every weekend for at least 1 hour to remove as much as I can, making sure to pull as much of the green section off the plant as I could, I am hoping that by constantly removing the growing shoots I will eventually weaken the rhizome and kill off the the plant, unfortunately after 2 months I am still finding new shoots but the areas that I have not cleared are looking so bad I am clearly making some difference. I will continue to persevere and provide an update next spring, by the I should be able to tell if I am making a difference, or if I need to find another way of tackling the situation.
