Bexhill Fishing 16th May 2026

The 16th May 2026 session at Bexhill saw me fishing the final four hours of the high tide under what looked like promising conditions. While driving to the beach the rain had already started, and by the time I arrived it was absolutely pouring. Once you're already committed and set up on the beach though, you keep fishing. The weather never really eased either, with periods of even heavier rain moving through during the session. Baits for the night included fresh black lug, squid, bluey and raw prawns, but only the lug produced any interest. Nights like this show how fishing can be unpredictable. Rain is often associated with falling pressure and changing conditions that can influence fish activity, although the pressure itself wasn't especially low on this session. On paper we had several ingredients that normally look favourable: a spring tide combined with South-West winds, conditions that can often switch fish on along this coastline. Despite that, the fish simply weren't there in numbers and one fish was all that stood between a result and a complete blank. Sometimes fishing reminds you that even when the conditions look right, fish don't always read the script. 🎣 Subscribe for more beach fishing sessions, conditions breakdowns and real session results. #BexhillFishing #BeachFishing #SeaFishing #FishingUK #SpringTide #SouthWestWinds #RainFishing #FishingVlog #BeachCasting #SaltwaterFishing #BlackLug #FishingLife #CoastalFishing #SeaAngling #UKFishing #SurfFishing #FishingConditions #AnglingUK
