After 18 years, Deftones’ legendary unreleased album Eros has finally leaked online… and I’ve listened to it. For years, Eros has been one of rock and metal’s biggest “what if?” stories. Recorded before Diamond Eyes, the album was shelved following Chi Cheng’s tragic accident and has since become almost mythical among Deftones fans. Now, thanks to a leak, the world can finally hear it. In this video I give my honest thoughts on the music itself, discuss why the band are so angry about the leak, and ask the bigger question: Should fans actually listen to unreleased music when the artist never wanted it released? I also explore what this leak could mean for the future of Eros.
