DEATH - Voice of the Soul - This Changed My View of Metal

Death were pioneers of progressive death metal, but Voice of the Soul shows a completely different side of the band . No drums, no bass, no vocals. Released in 1998 on the album The Sound of Perseverance, this instrumental track is a haunting, melodic farewell from the late Chuck Schuldiner a piece that feels less like metal and more like a classical lament Metal is known for being loud and fast but this shows another side which surprisingly still falls within the genre.
