Alfreton Carnivals 1962 and 1967

Home movie of the Alfreton Carnivals of 1962 and 1967 shot by Fred Alvey. We see shots of a marching band and carnival floats at the Alfreton Carnival in 1962. Next there are shots of the 1967 carnival on Bank Holiday Monday 28 August including shots of a marching band, carnival floats and queen as part of a parade. Later there are shots of crowning the carnival queen on the back of the float. Then we see shots of more marching bands, including the Melton Mowbray Tally Ho band, performing in a show ring. There are further shots of the carnival queen and assistant. The film ends with slow motion shots of people diving at Alfreton Lido.
