In this video, we'll introduce three soba restaurants: Matsu Soba, Ichirinkosu, and Koganewanishi. These three bring the total number of soba restaurants we've visited to 124. As usual, we'll take a dip in the hot springs, eat some soba, and enjoy a day in Muroran. ① Matsu Soba - Kake Soba (370 yen), Raw Egg (50 yen), Pickled Ginger Tempura (100 yen) The soba broth is exquisite. It's made with a dashi stock made from bonito and kelp. While the kelp was the main ingredient, it was also very gentle and flavorful. I believe this soba broth is what makes this restaurant tick. I was also impressed by the pickled ginger tempura, which I tried for the first time. I was amazed at how the tempura transforms the pickled ginger into a mellow flavor with just the right amount of saltiness. It was so delicious I wanted to eat as many slices as I could. ② Ichirinkosu - Mori Soba (900 yen) This is a famous soba restaurant in Muroran. The carefully selected buckwheat flour and milling method result in fragrant soba noodles. However, due to this meticulous attention to detail, they are a bit pricey. The soba noodles are fragrant and chewy. And while the soba soup is typically salty, it's smooth and rich, making it an excellent choice. ③ Muroran Onsen Yurara - Bathing Fee: 680 yen Shampoo, body soap, and other amenities are always available. While it tends to be crowded, the spacious hot spring and washing area allow for plenty of relaxation. The hot springs come in medium and high temperature, a jacuzzi, and an open-air bath. There's also a sauna. This is a hot spring perfect for relaxing and unwinding. ④ Kogane Wanishi Branch - Katsudon Set (1,520 yen) The highly rated katsudon (pork cutlet bowl) is paired with soba noodles for a satisfying katsudon set. The soba noodles are smooth and have a subtle buckwheat aroma. The soba noodles have just the right amount of firmness and are easy to bite into, making them a delight to eat. The soba broth is smooth and has a strong sweetness. It's also delicious. And the pork cutlet. It's very filling. Hot, tender, and with exquisite fat. The sweet yet refreshing flavor never tires of it, making it easy to eat with rice. It's a satisfying set that leaves you full, and I can see why it's so popular.
