11 Years In England | Slow Living, Cherry Cake & Finding Home
Today marks eleven years since I moved to England In this week's slow living vlog, I reflect on eleven years since moving to England and the journey of creating a life that truly feels like home. What began as a new chapter filled with excitement and uncertainty has slowly become a life rooted in simple pleasures, quiet routines, and a deeper appreciation for everyday moments. On this gentle summer day, I reflect on a journey of finding beauty in the small details — the moss on an old roof, the sound of rain, birdsong in the countryside, and the changing seasons. I enjoy the first strawberries from my garden, bake a traditional Kentish Cherry Cake inspired by a fascinating piece of English history, finish a small home decorating project, and take a peaceful walk through the Hampshire village of Avington. Along the way, I share reflections on finding myself again, embracing a slower pace of life, and discovering that happiness is often something we grow rather than something we find.
