Homemade Apple Pie with Blackberries | Cozy Autumn Comfort Food

Hello! I've been making apple pie — the ultimate comfort food for cozy autumn days. I made one with blackberries and another with cinnamon, served with homemade custard! What’s your favourite cozy autumn comfort food? Let me know in the comments 🙂 Autumn is here, and the apples are ready for picking. This year, they seem to taste especially good. I'm making the most of them by baking apple pies. Today, I'm using Bramley apples, one of my favorite varieties for cooking. I’ve also had an abundance of blackberries, so I decided to add them to one pie, while the other is flavoured with cinnamon. My pastry recipe is gluten-free, and I prefer to use all organic ingredients. See the recipe below! The pies didn’t turn out particularly pretty and were a bit crumbly (cooking and filming at the same time is tricky 🙂), but at least they tasted delicious! My cats, Bumble and Tinky, love running around the apple trees. Bumble even sat and inspected the apples while I picked them. Add the egg and a little water, and mix into a dough. --- *Pie Filling:* Apples Blackberries Cinnamon Peel and partially cook the apples. Add your chosen flavors—blackberries, cinnamon, or anything else you fancy. Add the filling to the pie and bake until the pastry is golden. Enjoy! :-)
