Disabilità invisibili o invisibilizzate? | Gaia Presotto | TEDxBelluno

We often talk about invisible disabilities when referring to conditions that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Despite this, however, conditions don't go away; rather, they must find their way into a society where, in reality, they aren't the ones who are invisible; it's the world around them that makes them invisible. But are disabilities really so distant from us that they must be stigmatized and marginalized? Communicator and activist There are people who have decided to fight against prejudice. People who fearlessly share their experiences to make the world a better place. With her "Sclero Days," Gaia has broken the stereotype that "links multiple sclerosis to a wheelchair." Gaia has taken a risk. She speaks to the entire world, in a simple, genuine, and never banal way, about her disease to help raise awareness among those who have it, but also to inform those who don't. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
