Laundry Feeling Overwhelming? Try My 10 Minute Daily Routine | Fold With Me
In today’s video, I’m sharing the simple 10 minute laundry routine that helps me stay on top of the washing without letting it pile up into an overwhelming mountain. By spending just 10–15 minutes each day folding laundry, putting it away, and resetting the laundry area, I find it so much easier to keep the house feeling calm and under control. Laundry can quickly become one of those jobs that feels never-ending, but breaking it down into a small daily habit makes such a difference. Instead of facing huge baskets at the end of the week, I prefer to deal with a little each day so it never gets to that stressful point. This is the same method I use to manage not only my laundry, but also my home and garden. I often work in 5–15 minute bursts, focusing on one small task at a time, whether that’s wiping down a bathroom, tidying a room, deadheading flowers, or watering pots. Those short pockets of time soon add up and help prevent everything from becoming too much at once. For those of us who struggle with ADHD tendencies or feeling easily overwhelmed, short routines like this can be especially helpful. Sometimes simply having someone tidy alongside you can make starting feel easier, which is why *body doubling* can work so well. Watching someone else quietly get on with a task can create that gentle sense of accountability and motivation that helps you begin your own. I hope this video feels like a little bit of company while you tackle your own laundry or household tasks today. *Let me know in the comments — do you find short 10 minute resets help you stay on top of your home, and do you find body doubling works for you too?* If you enjoy these gentle cleaning videos, *please like, subscribe, and join me for more realistic home routines each week.* I use the flylady system to manage my home and to keep my sanity, and I'll be sharing the little cleaning hacks and house cleaning tips I've learned along the way to motivate me to speed clean my house, and enable me to have fun while doing the cleaning.
