I'm Alexandra Revontulet and this is my project Alexandrite. We create Symphonic Metal covers and release them in sets. Each set has four songs outlining the same theme. The Wellerman has arrived! I know my wellerman is a little bit late to the party, but it seems like it's still going strong (at least judging from my newsfeed)😉 This song is just so much fun to sing that I couldn't help it. Thanks to my patron Alain Carton for suggesting it! I don't know if there were any female sailors in whaling crews on the shores of New Zealand in the 1860s (Wikipedia has a surprisingly detailed article on the history of this song and the elusive wellermen, but alas, nothing on this particular topic😅) so I decided to play around with some fantasy pirate outfits for this video🏴☠️ So, where's that rum?..
