Morgan Earp's Death (According to Newspapers)

On the night of March 18, 1882 Morgan Earp was enjoying a game of pool in Campbell and Hatch's saloon in Tombstone. He had just been to the theater and arrived in the saloon with his brother Wyatt. Morgan was shooting pool with the co-owner of the saloon, Robert Hatch. They were on their second game of the night, with it being Bob Hatch's turn, when gunfire erupted from the rear of the building. Morgan Earp was fatally wounded, another shot narrowly missed Wyatt's head. Morgan would die, surrounded by family and friends, soon after. It was another bloody chapter in the feud between the Earp's and the outlaw cowboys of Arizona. Just two days later on the 20th, Wyatt Earp would gun down one of the men he held responsible for Morgan's death, Frank Stilwell.
