Woodturning - Paul Howard Fluting/Router Jig 9 - A Fluted Bowl in Bur Chestnut

This is my 9th video following my learning experience with the Paul Howard Fluting/Router jig. I suddenly felt I have made some significant progress in the last two videos, so I’m rolling… This project started of with a Yew blank, but it went airborne on me due to over tightening of the inserts on the O’Donnell jaws. Never mind I can use it for something else. I found a nice replacement Bur Sweet Chestnut blank which was actually better suited to the project The project turned out better than I had hoped for, but I have to pay more attention and ensure there is a uniform thickness of the piece before engaging with the router. Finished with Yorkshire Grit & Hampshire Sheen. Paul Howard’s Fluting Jig is an amazing addition to the woodturners tool kit and opens up all kinds of new turning opportunities.
