"SCAPPO DALLA CITTÀ, PREFERISCO LE VACCHE!"

Edoardo is 24 years old. He grew up in the city of Verona, where his family lives. But since January 1, 2026, he has fulfilled his dream: to be a dairy farmer, pursuing a passion that began in him as a teenager, a stage in life in which one thinks of everything except (at least in the vast majority of cases) cows, stables, rising at dawn, and manual labor 24/7. He officially opened the farm in Erbezzo, in the heart of the Lessinia Veronese area, purchasing 33 red-faced cows (according to him, the best for milk production) and renting a barn in a small district of the village, where he began producing and selling milk. And in the summer, since we are in a historically suitable area, he also becomes a dairy farmer, having rented part of the historic Fittanze mountain pasture in the Fittanze pass, a well-known place where he lets the animals graze freely. His passion also reflects a very specific professional and qualitative orientation, as he decided to join the Latte Verona cooperative's Latte Fieno project, producing milk in compliance with the strict rules imposed by this specific specification, which prohibits the use of silage, but only hay (of which there is no shortage in Lessinia) and GMO-free feed. A philosophy, he explained to me, in which he firmly believes and which, he believes, if properly adopted by everyone, could truly make a difference for the entire Veronese mountain area. Edoardo, however, is not alone: in addition to his family, he is also supported by his girlfriend, a current veterinary student. But above all, his parents truly show a genuine passion, not so easy to find in kids their age, considering the significant commitment required by a job like this. So, good luck, Edoardo!
