Roman Plumbata - How far can a Pro throw?

Plumbata were really nasty fletched throwing darts used by the Late Roman Empire and apparently they could out range javelins, so apparently 80m or so. But can they? My friend Michael who throws Javelin for Team GB came along to see how far he could throw them. We don't know how far they have been thrown in the last 1500 years, but his efforts must be up there.
