Rail Live 2014 Stock Moves, 20/06/14.

Network Rail held another event at Long Marston on the Wednesday/Thursday - Rail Live 2014. An industry only event to promote rail services. On the Friday, Colas had numerous moves to get the stock back out of Long Marston. As most passed the Lickey Incline, as must for me :-) The first move filmed was 7Z66 Long Marston to Bescot headed by 70810. I believe the Driver wished his stead would move a bit quicker! But, what a monster consist - beat that! As you can see from the footage it was really cold and miserable!! Next, Track machines heading north from Long Marston. DR 73118/77905 on the Preston move. Then, passing Track machines (i'll never live this down) southbound is Rugby to Bristol and northbound Long Marston to Retford. DR77801 south and newbie (i'm told) 928001 north. As expected all the move were well late. Then, PROPER Tug 87 'Clic Sargent' with 37219 DIT, with another monster consist. It took it's time, but well worth it. Tones were due to a trespasser! The move was 6Z66 Long Marston to Bescot. I think i'll need to go a long way to best this lot! Lastly, the Tractor! 37608 heads back from Long Marston to Derby, nice! What a day.
