#207 Houghton - Monday 20 Jul 2026

A bit of a challenging day! Forecast was for cloud cover but it was full sun all day ☀️. After a 20 minute walk to the swim it took another 20 minutes to clear vegetation 🌱. On retrieving each cast the hook was covered in silk weed. And I didn't get a bite ☹️! So I moved. Second swim much better but in full sun ☀️. Surprised when pleasure boat went past as I didn't think the back channel was for boats. But I caught some fish 🎣 😊. Packed up early because of heat. Got back to the car completely exhausted 🥵.
