12 | 8 Reasons WHY we Bought This House in Italy & Gardening and New Chairs in Zeeland
In our previous video, we shared the mountain property we recently bought in Piedmont, Italy. This time, we take you back to the beginning and explain why this particular place stood out among all the others we visited during our search. What were we looking for in an Italian mountain property? What made this place feel right? From the view and the sunlight to privacy, access, water, electricity and legal status, we share the things that mattered most to us when searching for a house in Italy. Back in Zeeland, work continues on the small house we have been restoring for the past five years. A week of beautiful spring weather gave us the opportunity to spend more time outside. We planted flowers, added a steel mesh above our wooden structure for climbing plants, and continued preparing the area for a future terrace by removing old tree stumps along the dike. We also brought new chairs for the dining table, another small step in the renovation of our Dutch polder house. When we return the following weekend, the weather has completely changed. Strong winds sweep across the landscape, creating a very different atmosphere. Yet those changing seasons and shifting moods are part of what makes life in the polders so special.
