In today's early summer vlog, I'm sharing an ordinary day at home as I prepare homemade vanilla ice cream, refresh our living room with simple summer decor, tackle some overdue cleaning, and enjoy the small moments that make this season feel special. Warmly, Cheryl 😘 Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream 200 ml sweet condensed milk 300 ml whipped cream (at least 32% fat) -1 large eggyolk 1 vanilla pod or 2 tbsp vanilla extract (If using both, just add 1 tbsp of vanilla extract) 1/4 cup sugar (optional, if you want it sweeter) 1/4 tsp salt Pour condense milk into a saucepan, add egg yolk Scrape vanilla pod seeds, add to sauce pan. Add the remaining vanilla pod Add sugar and salt, stir to mix Gently cook over low heat until it reaches at 75-80 degrees Celsius. Do not exceed or you will get a sweet scramble egg 😄 Pour into a bowl and let it completely cool Once completely cooled, beat it to loosen Whip the whipping cream until medium peak Add a bit of whipped cream to condensed milk mixture, gently fold to combine Pour it back to the bowl of whipped cream and gently fold until everything is incorporated Pour into a container and freeze To serve, leave at room temperature for 10 minutes to soften a bit Enjoy! #slowliving #simpleliving #aestheticvlog
