First Lake District Van Camp | Fleetwith Pike Sunset & Bessyboot Sunrise

Come along on my very first van camp in the Lake District, in my new van, a VW Caddy Maxi. I hike up from Honister slate mine to Fleetwith Pike for a stunning and colourful sunset, and then head back to the van to park up for the night near Seathwaite. After a night in the van, I drive to Seatoller and start early (although not quite early enough!) for sunrise, on a hike up to my 208th Wainwright, Bessyboot. I head up to the true summit of Rosthwaite Fell, Rosthwaite Cam, and then over to the Wainwright summit of Bessyboot. There are amazing views across the Lake District to many mountain ranges, including Helvellyn and Skiddaw and a lovely look at the tarn on Bessyboot, ‘Tarn at Leaves’.
