We are facing a loan structured on the edge of the law, made by a creditor with a direct interest in control, while Vasco's own president, Pedrinho, admits that the club no longer has money and desperately needs capital. I recall the harsh criticism we made of Flamengo itself—from the Ninho do Urubu case to the dismissal of Filipe Luís and the shame of the Maracanã pitch. Here there is no "VARmengo" or "VARmeiras," there is only the law. And the law is clear: Article 62 of the General Sports Law and FIFA regulations prohibit structural economic interest in competing clubs. The Blind Trust is an illusion that José Roberto Lamacchia himself imploded when he declared that "he and his son will save Vasco."
