A young man left home after midnight and disappeared. In the morning, he was found dead, with a gunshot wound to the head, ten kilometers from the neighborhood where he lived. Police are investigating the suspicious death; his ex-girlfriend claims he took his own life, and his family believes it was murder. The case occurred in Praia Grande, on the coast of São Paulo. Marcos Venturini was 18 years old and had recently moved out on his own to be closer to his girlfriend, with whom he had been together for about two years. A third-year high school student, Marcos was preparing for his graduation party and was considered a dedicated student, according to the school's pedagogical coordinator, Bianca Santos. The educator says the student had a good relationship with his classmates and teachers. Security cameras recorded the moments leading up to Marcos' disappearance. The young man arrived at a restaurant on his bicycle, entered, greeted two men, picked up a lunchbox, and left. The restaurant belongs to an old friend of Marcos' family. According to relatives, after leaving the establishment that night, the young man stopped at a liquor store to pick up his stepmother's bicycle, which was with friends, and only then returned home. Surveillance camera footage from the condominium shows the moment he arrives, opens the gate, and enters with his bicycle and his stepmother's. Marcos had been living alone for two months on the second floor of a building in the Vila Caiçara neighborhood. Before disappearing, he stayed home for three hours before leaving again. What happened after the young man crossed the gate is still a mystery that the police are trying to solve. Domingo Espetacular exclusively obtained footage from three other points in the city where Marcos passed after leaving home. These are images recorded by the city's surveillance cameras, installed on the waterfront. The young man is seen cycling alone. Then, in a change of route, he appears at 25 minutes past midnight that morning, heading towards another neighborhood.
