Cab Ride YELLOW TRAIN Latour-de-Carol - Olette (Ligne de Cerdagne, France) train driver's view in 4K

In this video you can enjoy the cab ride - train driver's view from the famous Yellow Train from Latour-de-Carol to Olette on the one-metre gauge Ligne de Cerdagne in 4K/60 frames per second. The Yellow Train, also known as the canary due to its colour, connects Villefranche-de-Conflent (427 metres altitude) to Latour-de-Carol (1232 metres) over a distance of 63 km, climbing 1200 vertical metres to Bolquère, the highest ski station in France at 1593 meters. The train runs on an electric drive system. Electricity is provided by a third rail which runs alongside the track. There are 650 structures built on the route, it passes through nineteen tunnels (including one tunnel 337 metres long at Planes, and the Pla de Llaura tunnel, 380m long) as well as numerous bridges, two of them remarkable ones, the Séjourné Viaduct (suspended 65 metres above the river Tet and the N116 main road. Designed by Paul Séjourné, it was started in 1906 and finished in 1908.) and the Pont Gisclard (80 metres above river Tet - the first metal railway bridge in France). The station at Latour de Carol is one of the rare stations, to serve three different "normal" railway lines operating with three different gauges. The metre-gauge Train Jaune, the European standard gauge SNCF line to Toulouse, and the Spanish broad-gauge line to Barcelona.
