Scenic drive down Glacier trail rd near Red Lodge Mont. Sept. 24 2023 Absaroka Beartooth Wilderness

Join me on a scenic drive down the Main Fork of Rock Creek (FR#2421) AKA: Glacier Lake Trail Road. My starting point is the Glacier Lake trailhead parking lot and heading North East toward Beartooth Highway (Hwy 212) This road was closed for a while after the flood of June 2022. This year they partially reopened for weekend traffic while they repaired the road and bridges. I must say that the work they have done to this point is amazing. I have driven the road in the past and it was extremely rocky and slow going. Now you could drive a 2 wheel drive car on it as long as you don't get too close to the edge of the roadway. The fill is still soft and may cause issues. But it is an amazingly beautiful area and well worth a trip if you are in the area. Enjoy the beauty of the Absaroka Beartooths.
