Back in June heavy rain and melting snow caused major flooding in parts of Montana. The Yellowstone, Stillwater, and Clarks Fork rivers all reached record levels and caused flooding, mudslides, and rockslides. Many roads and bridges in these areas were heavily damaged or destroyed completely. The Mystic Lake Trail was one of the many trails temporarily closed. The trail was reopened at the beginning of July! Having done Mystic back in 2019, my buddy Dustin and I have been wanting to return and see the conditions of the area!
