I refresh the paths on the plot in readiness for the NEXT judging day - happening sometime next week - and harvest the first of the tomatoes, tromboncinos, peppers and aubergines (eggplants). Back at home, the Spider Farmer is packed away until next year and I sum up my review. I do some of the jobs I've been neglecting in the front garden food forest and the back garden, inc. harvesting currants, jostaberries, pruning the lilac, pulling up the poppies, and picking sweetpeas.
