Engadine railway station is a busy suburban station on Sydney’s South Coast Line, serving the suburb of Engadine. It’s part of the T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line, with some limited NSW TrainLink South Coast Line services too making it a great spot for both suburban and intercity train action! 🦆 Harry’s highlight: Harry had an EPIC spotting session this trip and saw THREE Duckgaras!!! 🦆🦆🦆 So many Duckgaras that we got a bit silly with quack quack moments 😂🦆 🚆 Station facts for train fans: • 📍 Location: Princes Highway, Engadine • 📏 Distance from Central: 30.75km • 🛤 Platforms: 2 side platforms • ⚡ Electrified: Since 1980 • 🏔 Elevation: 183m (pretty high for Sydney!) • 👩‍✈️ Staffed: • Weekdays: 6am – 7pm • Weekends/Public Holidays: 8am – 4pm • ♿ Fully accessible with lifts 🕰 A bit of history: Engadine Station opened on 1 October 1920, making it over 100 years old! 🎉 It was upgraded in 2002, with longer shelters and new lifts added to make it easier and more comfortable for passengers. 🚄 What trains stop here? Engadine is served by: • T4 Eastern Suburbs & Illawarra Line • Towards Bondi Junction • Towards Waterfall, Helensburgh & beyond • NSW TrainLink South Coast Line (limited peak services) • Towards Kiama, Port Kembla & the South Coast With two tracks and two platforms, there’s always something to watch and on this visit, it was ALL about the Duckgaras! 🦆🚆 Engadine is a top spot for train spotting, big variety, and plenty of action especially if you’re lucky enough to catch three Duckgaras in one visit!
