We're back up on Sugar Mountain this week where the crews got the concrete patio poured and are racing to wrap up the deck build and stone staircase before the next rental guests arrive later in the day. I'm up there with the guys helping keep things moving, making more trips to Lowe's and the building supply than I'd like after the customer decided to change a few details on the deck. Then we're switching over to Rhinehart's where they're dealing with a unit that came in with one of the most burnt-up clutches you've ever seen. The crew is also busy getting new weedeaters assembled and ready for the showroom floor while preparing for another busy week. Then it's back over to our Old Fort site prep project that you've all been watching. The original plan was a small custom home build, but now we're switching directions and preparing for a prebuilt tiny home instead. I take some time to explain why plans change, how important customer relationships are in this business, and why being flexible often leads to more opportunities down the road. While we're there, Ethan and I hop in the machines and move some dirt around to get the pad graded, leveled, and ready for delivery. To wrap up the day, I'm off to look at a siding replacement project for a customer who's currently losing the battle against carpenter bees and woodpeckers.
