The matriarch, Mariana, always dedicated her life to her children and dreamed of having more privacy, but without giving up the opportunity to entertain friends and cherish her collection of treasured pieces, artwork, and personal belongings accumulated over the years. The property, which had never been renovated, underwent a complete transformation: walls were demolished to integrate the living room, balconies, and kitchen, creating a spacious, fluid social area filled with cozy corners. The new layout also allowed for the creation of an exclusive studio for Mariana, with a living room, bedroom, bathroom, dining area, and separate entrance—an intimate retreat within her own home that reflects the resident's vibrant essence: colorful, filled with prints, paintings, and memories—a true "affective antiques shop." Among the highlights is the hybrid space that functions as an extension of the bar, massage room, or office, depending on the occasion, connecting the studio to the social area through glass doors that ensure flexibility and integration. The result is a vibrant, welcoming, and authentic apartment—a space that celebrates the journey and distinctive personality of its inhabitants.
