Fargo Marathon 2026 - Marathon #95

Saturday, May 30, 2026, I ran the Fargo Marathon. All week long was very hot temps that were about 25F above the average temperature for Fargo. Saturday was supposed to be close to that, but it ended up being “only” 11F above average for Fargo. It was still very hot for a marathon. The Fargo community, however, as always came through with lots of sprinklers and water guns, etc., for the runners. The spectators in Fargo are always so good. The music is from my recent poem. ~~~ I Need a Reset ~~~ I need a reset! Pronto! Now! Recycle brain cells with a pow! My thoughts are lost amongst the trees. The forest hides them in the breeze. So, as the world doth spin around In circles causing not a sound … … or is that hissing sound I hear The sound of earth exerting fear? … … So, as the world doth spin around In circles causing not a sound Will I survive a hard reboot? In light of news that won’t compute!? I need a reset(!) without thought. I need it now. Quickly. Spit spot. Let’s clear the brain and switch the gears. Let go of preconceived, fake fears. Regress to childhood, back to birth, When innocence was all it’s worth. Start over. Stop the clock. Restart it with a tick and tock. I need the time to catch some sleep, So I can dive into the deep And come out swimming with the best And feeling like I’ve had some rest.
