Shakeout Run, Expo, and Street Fair Before the Cedar Rapids Marathon 2026

Last week, I ran the Fargo Marathon, felt horrible, ready to throw up, horrible pace (at least the last 7 miles), miserable. Therefore, hey, I think I should run marathon #96 eight days later. Phft. This is the inaugural year for the Cedar Rapids Marathon. They had a fabulous shakeout run put on by #fitnesssports #FitnessSports1984 . Then, I went to the expo. Afterwards, a street fair was nearby! I had a Mediterranean Pita, Beignet Donuts, and some lemonade. I love that my bib says, “Apryl,” on it. Ok, not really. Haha. … but I just registered 2 days ago on Thursday, so it sounds like my bib number was taken from another registrant (“Apryl” apparently) who ended up dropping down a distance, perhaps, or decided not to run. They promised it’d work for me!!! I love the name, Apryl, and it’s even my birthday month, so … it works perfectly. The audio is from my poem from last year when I went to a farmers market, since it sorta went with my street fair segment today. I wrote the Farmer’s Market poem last August for a MSP farmers market.
