Tramp to Barker Hut - Hike and Camp | Arthurs Pass
Barker Hut is the highest hut in Arthurs Pass National Park at 1560m. Night hiking after work I make my way up the Waimakariri river towards Anti Crow Hut. I cowboy camp in the bush near the hut ready to pack up quick and begin an early day the next morning. I start the day off with an awesome sunrise heading towards Carrington Hut. From there I head up the White River towards Barker hut for lunch. Making good time I hike all the way back out to my car, an awesome 12.5 hour day.
