Community Work Lecture Series | Session 3 – Part 2: Community Work and Subjective and Collective Agency with Prof. Dr. Sabine Stövesand and Hannah Wachter This video was produced as part of the online Community Work lecture series in the summer semester of 2025. The third session focused on community work and subjective and collective agency. Prof. Dr. Sabine Stövesand (Hamburg University of Applied Sciences) and Hannah Wachter (Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences) provide insights into community work, collective empowerment, and the de-privatization of domestic violence. The lecture series is part of a trinational collaboration between experts from Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, who are organized under the umbrella of the Community Work section of the German Association for Social Work (DGSA). The aim of the lecture series was to provide access to current research findings, theoretical debates, and practice-oriented projects. This format is aimed at practitioners, students, and academics.
