Community Work Lecture Series | Session 1 – Part 2: Community Work Today and Its Historical Development with Katrin Muckenfuss This video was produced as part of the online community work lecture series in the summer semester of 2025. The first session focused on community work today and its historical development. Katrin Muckenfuss (OST University of Applied Sciences Eastern Switzerland) provides insights into the professional and political mandate of community work. The lecture series is part of a trinational collaboration between experts from Switzerland, Austria, and Germany, organized under the umbrella of the Community Work section of the German Association for Social Work (DGSA). The lecture series aims to provide access to current research findings, theoretical debates, and practice-oriented projects. The format is geared towards practitioners, students, and academics.
