1911 Barrel Link (Pt1) - sizing and associated issues

I started my 1911 project a while back as a learning experience. Since the beginning, I've developed a deep appreciation for the people who custom build these firearms; the level of hand fitting to get one working very well is immense. I noticed my gun was unlocking a little early in the firing cycle during some recent footage I recorded. A while back, I did have an over-pressure round that ruptured a case (    • Bullet Setback - A Cautionary Tale   ) when shooting out of this gun, but I never checked the barrel lock-up because the bullets were also clearly set back in the case, creating unsafe pressures when fired. Well, time to dive in and see if I can address the lock-up. Of course, that change does have some down stream effects, as we'll see.
