Your 1911 Trigger Doesn't Have to Be Bad

This is a very easy job to do on a 1911 pistol. I HIGHLY prefer the CYLINDER AND SLIDE sear spring that is shown in the video. Please consider buying several of these for training and to install in all your 1911 pistol. They only cost about $10 and can make your 1911 feel like a WHOLE DIFFERENT PISTOL! They are very high quality spring steel and hold the trigger setting that you TUNE FOR! Please understand that YOU ARE the only one responsible for YOUR TRIGGER. If my methods that I use on my guns looks reasonable, then the REST US UP TO YOU. Never try to adjust your 1911 to a very light setting of like 3 lbs for an E.D.C. carry gun. Most true 1911 shooters that carry every day prefer a clean crisp trigger in the 4 to 5 pound range. Never adjust below 3 lbs because you can end up with hammer follow when you go below 3 lbs with a main spring of 23 lbs. With our new modern parts there is OFTEN no need to stone or grind on the SEAR OR HAMMER HOOKS! It is BEST to let the professional GUNSMITH do THAT JOB. The new m.i.m. parts are often surface hard but soft on the inside, so avoid THAT! IF you have a modern American production pistol it has m.i.m. parts!
